Wow, I just went back and read Grace's 1 and 2 month updates. SO MUCH has happened between month 2 and 3!

She's becoming more aware and reactive to us, especially when we make her smile and coo! We broke out her piano play mat, which quickly became her favorite thing. As soon as we lay her down under it, she gives us a big smile, grabs the dangling toys, and goes to town kicking the little keys and throws a mini recital. It's the best! And I swear she's another inch longer and 2 pounds heavier. She won't be able to fit into her 0-3 month onesies much longer! She has become obsessed with her hands...holding them, grabbing things and squeezing tight, and sucking on them. Her hands and chin are constantly wet.

Last week, she got to go to the beach for the first time! Mathias started vending the Sullivans Island Farmers Market every Thursday, so we took the opportunity to slip on her little Mini Mouse swimsuit and stick our toes in the sand and the water. I think she liked it!

At 2 months, we introduced the bottle so over the course of the month, I started giving Grace bottles of pumped milk at the times she would be getting them from my mom once I went back to work. I figured this would help make the transition smoother and it definitely has. By mid-month, she started drinking more during the day, getting one "protein shake" (bottle of formula) at bedtime, and sleeping longer at night. So we moved her into the crib in her room and she immediately started sleeping about 8 hours a night! It is nice having a job where I get to work when she's still asleep and I'm home by lunch time. I survived my first week back to work and this new feeding routine has us all happier and sleeping better as a result!
